Oil and Lubrication Service

Your vehicle is likely one of the biggest investments you’ll make in your life; that’s why it’s important to protect it. Integra Tire is passionate about vehicle maintenance because, when done properly, it can extend the life of your vehicle significantly, keep you safe from expensive internal component failures, and prevent costly repairs in the future! Call your local Integra Tire to book an appointment or request a time below.

Oil Changes

Regular oil changes could possibly be one of the most important factors in keeping your vehicle’s engine running properly. They help to increase gas mileage, prevent engine failure, and prevent deposits and build up inside your engine. Oil changes should be done at your local Integra Tire every 5,000km or more frequently if you are constantly driving in stop and go traffic.

Filters

One of your vehicle’s most important filters is the oil filter. Oil filters help protect the engine’s oil from dirt, metal filings, and sludge. Your vehicle’s oil filter will be changed during your oil change by an Integra Tire Technician. Vehicles also contain an air filter. Air filters also help protect the engine by keeping out dirt and debris. Your air filter should be changed once a year or per your vehicle’s owner’s manual. Other filters exist, such as the cabin air filter and transmission filters. Your Integra Tire Technician will let you know when it is time to change any filter on your vehicle’s scheduled inspection.

Fluid Maintenance

Engine coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and more are all the different fluids in your vehicle play a vital role in its reliable and safe operation. Your fluids need to be actively monitored for proper levels and any other abnormalities. Ask your Integra Tire dealer about getting your fluids inspected.

Vehicle Inspections

Integra Tire offers both multi-point visual inspections and full inspections of your vehicle. A visual inspection can often be done while your vehicle is in for another service (such as tire changeovers, oil changes, etc). Ask your Integra Tire Technician if they can perform a visual inspection next time you’re in. In fact, there is a good chance they will already be performing one. Full inspections are often more time consuming and may require an additional appointment.

Lubricant Choices:

Conventional mineral oil is widely used in most vehicles and provides basic engine protection; however, some manufacturers have started using synthetic blends and full synthetic oils for added protection for extended drain intervals.  Full synthetic oil offers the highest level of engine protection as it has added detergents to clean the internal components of the engine. It also has superior heat resistance to breakdown the oil, allowing for easier cold weather starting, better fuel economy, and some will allow you to extend the time between oil changes.

Making the “Grade”

Choosing the correct grade of oil is very important in today’s engines.  If you are unsure of what type or grade of oil your vehicle requires, it is typically written on the oil cap or is in the owner’s manual.  You can also trust your Integra Tire Technician for the correct choice.
