Air Conditioning Repair and Diagnostics In St. Claude
About Air Conditioning Repair and Diagnostics
When the summer months roll around, you don’t want to be stuck without your vehicle's air conditioning working properly. Your vehicle's A/C (air conditioning) keeps you and your family cool and comfortable while you're on the road. That's why it's important you have it working at all times. Contrary to popular belief, your vehicle's A/C is not actually blowing cold air from outside of your vehicle; it's actually taking hot air and removing the heat through a multi-step process using refrigerant. Your vehicle's air conditioning compressor will usually be attached to your serpentine/accessory belt, which is powered by your vehicle's engine. There are various components to your vehicle's A/C system, and, therefore, it can break down.
When your vehicle's A/C is failing, you may experience some of the following issues:
- Poor cooling of the air coming into the car, which can be can be caused by many different things. The most common cause is the loss of some or all of the refrigerant in your vehicle’s A/C system. Furthermore, if the A/C compressor is not performing correctly, then your A/C system will have poor performance.
- Your A/C system is louder than usual.
- If you turn on your vehicle’s air conditioning and begin hearing louder than normal sounds from the front of your vehicle, it is possible that the A/C compressor or the drive belt that drives the compressor needs to be inspected and possibly serviced.
