Take the Perfect Canadian Road Trip

Posted July 9, 2015

Now that summer is in full swing no one wants to be stuck inside the office, but the Canadian dollar has dropped quite a few points over the last month, so going to the United States isn’t the most economical choice.

If you want to hit the road this summer, but you’re not sure where to go, we’ve found some of the best Canadian road trip spots all across this great land of ours:

Travel the Trans-Canada Highway:

The Trans-Canada Highway is Canada’s longest highway and literally stretches from one end of the country to the other. No matter what part of Canada you are located in, you can take it to some awesome destinations. One of our favourite trips is to travel from Edmonton, AB to Jasper, AB. You’ll get to take in the scenic prairie landscape and canola fields along with the majestic Rocky Mountains.

Explore Beautiful British Columbia:

Take a drive from Kamloops to Vancouver and experience Canada’s most beautiful landscape and indulge in a true Canadian treat: the Nanaimo Bar! Don’t forget to make a pit stop in Kelowna to enjoy Lake Okanagan. If you run into tire trouble, you can always stop into our Integra Tire in Kelowna or Burnaby as well!

Explore your Country-side:

If you’re looking to explore your “country-side,” you’ve got to visit Cowtown a.k.a Calgary. Kick up your cowboy boots for the Calgary Stampede and check out all of its great festivities. You’ll need some rest and relaxation afterwards, so you can continue on to breathtaking Lake Louise, Canada’s most picturesque location.

Visit Saskatchewan:

If you’re looking to kick back, relax and eat some of the best food around, visit Saskatoon! One of their most popular events is the Taste of Saskatchewan where you can try foods from the city’s best restaurants while soaking up the sun in front of the Delta Bessborough.

Make it to Manitoba:

Although it’s unassuming, Manitoba has some great tourist locations. Visit the spectacular Provencher Bridge and spot all the animals at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, act like a paleontologist at the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden, and visit the International Peace Garden in Boissevain. There are so many great places to visit across Canada that you’ll need to get some new tires on your car from your local Integra Tire in order to see them all safely!
